For more information contact david@ecoshasta.org. \nHow to participate: \n\nJoin the event on SEA’s Meetup page and sign the waiver form. (Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.)\nDownload the iNaturalist app on your mobile device\, create an account\, and familiarize yourself with how it works. Check out this page for tutorials.\nJoin the “Find 30 Species Challenge” here so that all your observations will be included in the project.\nMeet us in the parking lot at 2502 Henderson Rd by 9 am on Sunday\, September 8th. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water and sunscreen. Park behind the shopping center in the fenced-off area.\nOptional: a camera with a telephoto lens for capturing birds

SUMMARY:SEA Clear Creek Cleanup on National Public Lands Day
DESCRIPTION:SEA Clear Creek Cleanup on National Public Lands Day \nClear Creek Gorge Parking lot \nSaturday\, September 28th\, 9 am \n  \nShasta Environmental Alliance will clean up the Clear Creek Trail upstream of the Clear Creek Gorge Parking lot on Saturday\, September 28 at 9 am. We will have two crews: one group will be pruning back brush with small electric chain saws and another group will be picking up light trash with grabbers and pruning back any branches growing too close to the trail. There are no known homeless camps along the trail\, so this will be an easy cleanup and time to meet some new or old friends. \nBLM will have other crews cleaning up the highway and further work on Horsetown Clear Creek Preserve. BLM will provide free t-shirts and a free lunch with dessert by Horesetown after the cleanup. Meet at the Clear Creek Gorge Parking lot on Clear Creek Road at 9 am. Bring gloves\, water\, closed-toe shoes\, and a hat. If you have a lopper\, bring one to cut any branches that may be leaning over the trail. You will have to sign a BLM waiver at the trailhead.
