SEA Clear Creek Cleanup on National Public Lands Day

September 28 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am PDT

SEA Clear Creek Cleanup on National Public Lands Day

Clear Creek Gorge Parking lot

Saturday, September 28th, 9 am

Shasta Environmental Alliance will clean up the Clear Creek Trail upstream of the Clear Creek Gorge Parking lot on Saturday, September 28 at 9 am. We will have two crews: one group will be pruning back brush with small electric chain saws and another group will be picking up light trash with grabbers and pruning back any branches growing too close to the trail. There are no known homeless camps along the trail, so this will be an easy cleanup and time to meet some new or old friends.

BLM will have other crews cleaning up the highway and further work on Horsetown Clear Creek Preserve. BLM will provide free t-shirts and a free lunch with dessert by Horesetown after the cleanup. Meet at the Clear Creek Gorge Parking lot on Clear Creek Road at 9 am. Bring gloves, water, closed-toe shoes, and a hat. If you have a lopper, bring one to cut any branches that may be leaning over the trail. You will have to sign a BLM waiver at the trailhead. For more information email david@ecoshasta.org
