The Environmental Management Division of the City of Redding Public Works Department provides support services to various City Departments to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental laws, regulations, and policies. They also manage the City’s Storm Water Management Program, which includes industrial, construction, and municipal activities and operations within the City.
An occasional newsletter is published to keep residents informed on environmental issues; a copy of which is posted below. Among the areas it covers are ways citizens can keep our local waterways clean (such as proper paint disposal and picking up after our dogs) and composting. This latest issue covers the ways individuals can protect our water supply from household insecticides.
