At the March 2 Redding City Council meeting, the Planning Department was directed to review the current tree ordinance for updating and changes. This will take a few months, as the City is in the process of hiring a new Director of Resource Management. Thank you to Council Member Julie Winter for bringing this to a vote on the City Council.
Be prepared to write emails of support to the Planning Commission in a few months when this comes up. Public input is extremely important.
